Montgomery Public Schools has announced that all students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch through the 2025-2026 school year.
This service is being offered under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
Parents don’t need to take any action to have meals provided for their children. The U.S. Department of Agriculture allows children to participate without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.
The school system says the Community Eligibility Provision is part of the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010, which allows schools and school districts in low-income areas to eliminate school meal applications and serve breakfast and lunch at no charge to all enrolled students.
