Exploratorium visitors on Saturday can see how scientists and researchers study climate change and sea-level rise as part of an event highlighting San Francisco Bay.
The waterfront science museum will host Bay Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during its annual showcase of the ecosystems found in San Francisco Bay. Staffers will hold live science demonstrations,hands-on activities, and pull a 2,000-pound buoy from the water as part of yearly maintenance and data collection. The event is free with museum admission.
Exploratorium employees said this weekend’s Bay Day is a celebration of ocean science and the institution’s role in bringing people together to make new and exciting discoveries .
