Time is running out to register to participate in this year’s Porchfest. Historic Athens is still accepting hosts and performers for the annual fundraiser. Tommy Valentine is Executive Director of the organization. He says last year’s concerts drew a record number of performances and visitors.

“This year, with the increase to close to 250 individual concerts, we imagine we’ll see even more foot traffic.”

Valentine says attendees can expect some differences and additions this year.

“In addition to a record number of porch concerts this year, we’re anticipating the return of the indie fair, which will allow folks to purchase local artisan made gifts,” Valentine said. “We’re anticipating a food fair this year with food trucks and other participating vendors.
