WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (WENY) -- As a weekend full of fast-paced action gets closer for race weekend, it's important to drive safely no matter where we are. One driver set to compete this weekend continues to relay this message every time he visit the region.

The Governor's Traffic Safety Committee and NASCAR driver Ross Chastain are helping people stay safe on the road through the message, "Protect Your Melon."

Earlier today, at the Schuyler County Courthouse, fans lined up to meet with the Trackhouse Racing driver, who has partnered with the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee for 10 years, reminding drivers of safety both on and off the track. On the front lawn, was a NASCAR stock car adorned with the team's message.
