AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Patients at Crescent Hospice in Augusta are using virtual reality headsets to fulfill their last wishes.
The headsets allow patients to experience new things before the end of their lives.
The hospice aid and community liaison used one of the headsets and spoke about how one of the patients got to experience mardi gras through VR before he died.
Therapy dogs’ birthday celebrated at children’s hospital
The Children’s Hospital of Georgia celebrated the birthdays of two therapy dogs on Thursday, along with introducing a new one.
“We had beats, and they were wearing the goggles so that they were in Mardi Gras, and there was different views that they were in. One was they were on top of a bus and they were tossing. The person was tossing beads out into the crowd.
