GALECA , The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, has announced that Diane Anderson-Minshall, former CEO of Pride Media has been named executive director, alongside a new board of directors.

Anderson-Minshall is set to be the first woman to lead the LGBTQ+ journalism organization. As a journalist, editor, and author, Anderson-Minshall has previously served as editorial director of Out, The Advocate, Out Traveler, and Pride.com, as well as editor-in-chief or editor of GO, Curve, Girlfriends, Alice, Plus, QSF, Passport, and On Our Backs. She has received numerous accolades, such as multiple GLAAD awards, NLGJA awards, and the 2016 Golden Crown Award for a memoir.
