It isn’t hard to see why Ryan Lomberg has become a favourite amongst Calgary Flames fans in such a short time.

The 30-year-old rejoined the Flames organization ahead of the 2024-25 season on a two-year contract, but wasn’t very well-known in Calgary given that he’d logged just 11 NHL games before moving on to the Florida Panthers. After just one season spent with the Flames, however, he is absolutely loved by the fanbase.

Lomberg is relentless on the ice and has a fun and charismatic personality off of it . That alone has drawn many in, but it’s his role in the community that has really stood out to many.
