WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has ended a grant program worth $7 billion aimed at funding solar projects for nearly one million lower-income American households.

This decision aligns with the Trump administration's shift away from clean energy initiatives. The EPA also recently proposed revoking landmark greenhouse gas regulations based on 2009 scientific findings .

The funding was initially part of former President Joe Biden's "Solar for All" program, which awarded over $150 million to 60 recipients, including states, tribes, and regions. Washington state was among those who received this financial support.
