The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation announced that it has adopted a 2025-2029 Strategic Plan based on input from community voices including residents, entrepreneurs, educators, artists and civic leaders.
BCIC said the planning process began in early 2024, and that input was gathered through “focus groups, public forums and stakeholder interviews.” BCIC is one of the city’s two economic development organizations. Feedback centered on “improving quality of life, creating more family-friendly spaces, supporting small businesses, revitalizing downtown and retaining local talent,” according to BCIC.
