Queen Creek officials welcome future town

The effort to incorporate San Tan Valley has grown it lead at the ballot box.

On Thursday, the county released an update to its unofficial results of Tuesday's election that includes an additional 2,070 tabulated ballots.

The “yes” votes for incorporation now stand at at 66.6%, or 10,070, with the “no” votes coming in at 33.3%, or 5,042.

Leaders in Queen Creek expressed their support for incorporation efforts through a resolution and now they are looking forward to the new neighboring town.
