Minutes before 2 a.m. Wednesday, Julian Keith Flowers stood outside the door of the Willow Creek Crossing apartment belonging to his child's mother.
Four people inside that apartment, including the suspect now accused of killing Flowers, all gave Fort Wayne Police Department detectives the same account of what happened next.
Alaye S. Hanson shot through the door and hit Flowers in the stomach, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Their version of events was confirmed through video taken by a Ring door camera.
Flowers, 24, died after being taken to a local hospital. Hanson, 25, was arrested the same day and now faces a murder charge and a count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Online court records show he is being held in the Allen County Jail without bail.
