ISLETON, Calif. —
A Powerball ticket sold in the small Sacramento County city of Isleton raked in more than $700,000, according to the California Lottery.
That ticket, which was sold at Dejacks Country Store on 105 2nd St., was one number shy of winning the $449 million jackpot, but it is still a big win regardless. The winning numbers were 15-27-43-45-53 with a Powerball of 9.
While no jackpot was claimed this time, the California Lottery said there were 84,989 winning tickets sold in this drawing.
California Lottery states that the odds of matching five numbers are 1 in 11,688,054.
The next drawing will be Saturday, with a new jackpot of $482 million.
Isleton is a city along the Delta with a population of roughly 800 people.
