HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford police are investigating the shooting of two people early Thursday morning.

The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. on Park Street. When police arrived, they found a man in his 40s who had been shot multiple times, along with a woman in her 30s who was shot once.

EMS brought both people to Hartford Hospital. The woman's injury was non-life-threatening, and while the man was initially in critical condition, Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert said he has "since been upgraded to stable condition."

Boisvert said there weren’t many witnesses due to the time that the shooting took place.

“There was some evidence left behind that needs to be tested both forensically and ballistically and that takes a little while,” Boisvert added.
