KENTUCKY —
Gov. Andy Beshear announced that Team Kentucky has launched a website to prevent scams.
The new site, stopscams.ky.gov , serves as a resource for Kentuckians to learn about how to spot scams, report suspicious activity and recover what could have been lost in a scam.
The website also lets you sign up for scam alerts.
When visiting the website, a list of six common scams will pop up, each with in-depth information on how to avoid these scams, what they might look like and additional resources you can learn from.
This is part of a broader initiative by the governor's office to prevent scams through awareness, education and reporting.
