The 2025 class of the Sylvania Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducted the weekend of Aug. 22-23 as part of festivities surrounding the Northview-Southview football game.

The Sylvania Athletic Hall of Fame honors past players, coaches, teams, and contributors from Northview and Southview, as well as the former Burnham and Sylvania high schools.

This year’s inductees include:

• Jane Long, Sylvania Class of 1975, track, basketball, and tennis. A member of the first varsity girls basketball team in Sylvania, Long went on to play basketball collegiately at Eastern Kentucky before working as an assistant coach at Tennessee and Virginia Tech. She also coached at Brevard College. She now is the Director of Equipment and Apparel at North Carolina Greensboro.
