A high-speed pursuit ended in southern Illinois with a crash, a manhunt and the fugitive's capture.
The pursuit began reportedly began in McCracken County and continued to the Metropolis exit in Illinois. The driver traveled on IL 145 at speeds reported to be over 100 miles per hour.
The Massac County Sheriff's office said the driver crashed near Marion Road in northern Massac County.
Deputies said the unknown white male wearing a dark colored shirt fled on foot into the woods moving west. Illinois State Police joined the search and K9s were also deployed between Marion Road and Jefferson School Road.
At around 4pm the sheriff's office reported that the man had been captured. No other information was released at this time.
