Writing questions on index cards at town halls and panel discussions doesn't cut it for some folks.

Two events this month in Twin Falls and Jerome will allow residents to speak face-to-face with community leaders. Organized by Indivisible Twin Falls County Idaho, the events are called "Speed Representing." It's a play on speed dating.

"I've heard people say, 'I don't want to speak through a card, I want to speak with my voice,'" Anna Scholes, event organizer and chair of the College of Southern Idaho Board of Trustees, said. "Absolutely. And there is a way to do that. Hopefully, this is the way to do that."

The event in Twin Falls is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Stone House & Co., at 330 Fourth Ave. S., and the event in Jerome is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thu
