HARRODSBURG, Ky. — Apple's CEO Tim Cook and President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that every iPhone and Apple Watch sold around the world will contain cover glass made in Kentucky.

Apple is investing $2.5 billion into the Corning glass plant in Harrodsburg, Ky, which is one and a half hours south of Louisville in Mercer County.

Trump said Apple will invest $600 billion total in the U.S. over four years. He said it's Apple's biggest investment ever.

“You wouldn’t think that in small town Kentucky that kind of leading innovation is taking place, but it is," said Greyson Evans, executive director of the Harrodsburg-Mercer County Industrial Development Authority.
