After the departure of head basketball coach David May last month, Pine Forest High School has found it's new program leader.

Pine Forest has named alumnus Joseph Brown as its new head basketball coach, the school announced on social media Thursday afternoon, Aug. 7.

Brown played for Pine Forest during his high school days, then went on to graduate from East Carolina University. After college, the Trojans alum has had a passion for developing his players on and off the floor, and earned the bulk of his coaching experience as an assistant coach at Terry Sanford.
