If there is any lesson the San Antonio Spurs learned last season, it’s that you can never have enough big man depth. They seemed to take that lesson to heart with their moves this summer. Not only did they sign Luke Kornet to flank Victor Wembanyama, but they also picked up Kelly Olynyk from the Washington Wizards. On Thursday they made another move that should add more depth heading into training camp.
Today, the Spurs announced they have signed Micah Potter to a training camp contract. The four-year big man will bring San Antonio’s roster count to 18. The team can take 21 players into training camp, and can have 15 going into the regular season.
