CARLTON, Minn.– For the second year, golfers sank their claws and clubs on the green for the ‘Dare to Go Bear’ golf scramble.
23 different teams played today at the Black Bear Casino and Resort to support the Lake Superior Zoo.
Golfers got to sink their claws into a competitive game of golf, as well as a silent auction.
This year, the zoo will be using proceeds to help out with the recent ‘sea-quest’ rescue.
It will help with modifications, animal care, and exhibit adjustments for the newly rescued 200 animals.
No matter the reason, zoo staff says, it’s a great feeling when the community shows up for this nonprofit.
“I would say also that I think that the community and the businesses we partner with the people that we see at the zoo, I think ever
