WINONA, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting a fishing event in Shannon County for families on Saturday, August 16.
According to an MDC press release, the Twin Pines Conservation Center in Winona, Missouri, is hosting a Family Fishing Day event from 9 a.m. to noon on August 16.
The event will include door prizes, permit-free fishing and lunch, the release says.
MDC will honor anglers who catch the most fish, the largest fish and the smallest fish. Fishing at the center will be catch-and-release only.
The fishing day will be free for visitors at the Twin Pine Conservation Center, which is located five miles east of Winona on U.S. Highway 60.
