EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Mark your calendars, the official Vivamos Mexico, El Grito Celebration will be returning in September, and the community is invited to celebrate the anniversary of Mexico’s Independence.
The Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso and Visit El Paso partnered up to announce this year's date of Sept. 13 at the El Paso Convention Center and surrounding area.
Vivamos Mexico is a free event celebrating the 214th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence and will take place from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. this year and is absolutely free.
Aside from the announcement of this annual event, the El Paso Mayor, Renard Johnson, took the time to remind the public that the City of El Paso will introduce an international nonstop route to Chihuahua, Mexico, next year.
