QUINCY — Baldwin teacher Kimberly Hays added a book to her classroom shelf just in time for the new school year.
“I do a lot of read-aloud, and the kids really enjoy it,” the fourth-grade teacher said. “The book will be something helpful and enjoyable to them.”
Chaddock released its first-ever children’s book, “Chad the Cougar and the Forest of Feelings” with special events Wednesday for educators, held at Chaddock School, and a Family and Friends Night at Madison Park.
In the book, brought to life by local author Ron Kinscherf in collaboration with Chaddock staff and illustrations hand-painted by Chaddock family coach Sarah Goodapple, Chad helps his friend Baxter Badger, and young readers, navigate angry feelings.
