BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — City leaders in Brownsville have unveiled a new community initiative that aims to improve residential and business properties' safety and visual appeal.
On Thursday, the city debuted the Brownsville Residents Improving Grounds, Homes, and Tomorrow (B.R.I.G.H.T.) initiative. It brings together city employees, businesses, schools, hospitals, and community organizations to help beautify Brownsville through neighborhood clean-ups, public art installations, and revitalization projects.
The initiative seeks to inspire civic engagement and volunteerism, reinforcing a strong sense of community and ownership.
"B.R.I.G.H.T. is more than just a beautification campaign; it's a catalyst for economic development, tourism, and quality of life," said Mayor John Cowe
