BALTIMORE — The Indianapolis Colts' quarterback situation took a hit early in the first preseason game of the year Thursday night.

Third-year signal caller Anthony Richardson was ruled out for the remainder of the game after taking a sack from Baltimore Ravens linebacker David Ojabo midway through the first quarter. Richardson suffered a finger injury on his right hand during the play.

The game got off to a good start for the Colts defense.

Alex Johnson intercepted Ravens quarterback Cooper Rush's first pass of the game, giving the Colts the ball less than a minute into the contest. Richardson completed a 15-yard pass to Adonai Mitchell to move the ball into Baltimore territory and set up an eventual 53-yard field goal by Spencer Shrader to give Indianapolis a 3-0 lead.
