RICHARDSON, Texas (KFDA) - Former kick for West Texas A&M Buffs football all-time leading scorer Sergio Castillo was announced as the 64th inductee to the Lone Star Conference Hall of Honor on Thursday.

He now joins Dustin Vaughan (2023), Sarah Butler Carthel (2008) and Julie Myatt O’Dell (2005) as the only inductees from West Texas A&M.

During his time with the Buffs, Castillo set records that still stand to this day.

His 437 points is the most from any player in program history, and he still has the LSC career record for most extra points made and attempted, putting through 251-255 kicks (98.4%).
