A Killeen man has been indicted on an animal cruelty charge in the case of a dog that was removed from his home in July .

Jeffrey Yuzon Ignacio was indicted by a Bell County Grand Jury on Wednesday, Aug. 6 on a charge of cruelty to a non-livestock animal-serious bodily injury, according to court documents.

Ignacio was arrested on July 5 on outstanding warrants, according to police. After his arrest, a 13-year-old pitbull was removed from Igancio's home, following numerous reported attempts from police to get him to surrender the dog.

Police stated the dog, now named Cyrus, looked "extremely underfed," and was completely missing the paw and hock on its hind right leg. Police stated Ignacio ha
