1 — Allen shares thoughts on Trubisky getting preseason start

Head coach Sean McDermott shared Thursday that QB Josh Allen will not play in the team's preseason opener on Saturday against the Giants.

Instead, QB Mitchell Trubisky will get the starting nod at Highmark Stadium. Allen shared that he's excited to see how his close friend and teammate performs in front of the home crowd.

"He works extremely hard. He's doing everything he can right now to continue to improve. I love him and I love all the quarterbacks in our room," Allen said.

Seeing how Trubisky has improved throughout camp has Allen confident in the quarterback as he battles for the backup QB spot.
