A joint investigation by the Overton County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has led to the arrest of Edward Randolph , 49, in connection with a disturbing homicide.

Authorities began an investigation after deputies discovered a burning refrigerator containing a body on Sunk Cane Road in the early morning hours of July 31 , following a request from 13th Judicial District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway .

The victim was later identified as Hope Parrott , born December 23, 1977. Evidence revealed that Parrott’s boyfriend, Randolph, killed her, placed her body inside a refrigerator, then set it on fire.

Randolph has been charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse and was booked into the Overton County Jail on a $50 millio
