A person was killed after a fiery crash involving five vehicles on the New Jersey Turnpike on Thursday morning, according to a spokesperson with state police.
Troopers with the New Jersey State Police were called to the turnpike's southbound lanes near milepost 68.2 in East Windsor Township, Mercer County, around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, officials said.

Investigators have uncovered that five vehicles, a Freightliner tractor-trailer, a Ford F-150 pickup truck, a Kenworth semi-trailer, a Ford van, and a Mercedes-Benz car, were moving southbound on the turnpike when the semi hit the back of the F-150.
