HARTFORD, Conn. — A new executive director has been tapped to lead the Health Collective, which provides essential services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities in the Hartford area.
The organization formerly known as the Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective has selected Anthony DiLizia, its current chief operating officer, to fill the role of executive director.
DiLizia is a U.S. Army veteran respected for his leadership, history of community service and staunch advocacy for equitable healthcare access for all.
He served two contracts in the Army over the span of six years after enlisting in 2014. DiLizia began as an all-source intelligence analyst and deployed to the Middle East to carry out drone strikes targeting ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
