CHIPPEWA FALLS (WQOW) - On Thursday more information was uncovered about the two resignations from the Chippewa Falls City Council in the span of two weeks. On July 21st District Four Representative Scott Sullivan resigned after serving on the city council for just 14 months. His reason: a lack of financial transparency.
"Unwillingness to share with the constituents and all the tax payers of exactly how much money we have, where it's located," he said.
In his resignation letter Sullivan said he's found inaccuracies and irregularities within the financial reporting. Because of an ordinance dated in 2011, only the finance manager oversees all records, fund balances, bank records and investments.
