PLAINVILLE, Conn. — Almost three weeks since the Plainville community lost firefighter Raymond "Ray" Moreau , a talented 10-year-old boy shared his heartfelt gesture to the grieving fire department Thursday.

What began as a small project at the Nguyen family’s dining room quickly became a 3D printing empire of 10-year-old Landon Nguyen.

“At first, with the first one I was like, okay we could just put it on the table,” said Amy Nguyen, Landon’s mother.

As Landon continued creating, the space quickly filled with buzzing machines and plastic pieces.

Landon, founder of Landon’s Toy Chest , usually creates toys and trendy accessories.

“So what I do is I make things,” Landon explained.

But this week, his focus shifted to a more heartfelt project in the form of a bronze and black print
