COLUMBUS, Ohio — Wonder and whimsy are set to take over Pickerington on Saturday as “Wizard Faire” returns to the city’s historic downtown.

For one day only, Victory Park will transform into a magical mini-Renaissance festival complete with confounding tricksters, mythical questers and balladeering bards.

“It’s hard to believe based on how popular we have become, but this is only our third Wizard Faire,” said Rachel Scofield, editor of Pickerington Online and one of the event’s cofounders. “I believe folks return to our event each year because we offer a respite from the heaviness of reality even if only for a moment.”
