ALEXANDRIA — Medalist Jack Holtz is still in the running in the Men's Championship in the 104th Resorters Tournament at the Alexandria Golf Club.

There were a few close games, including two that were not determined until the 18th hole. All of the matches lasted at least 15 holes. Here's a look at Thursday's matches:

Holtz def. Kress, 4-2

A strong back nine lifted medalist Jack Holtz of Alexandria over Ethan Kress, the 17th seed.

Kress was looking pretty good on the front nine. He won the first hole with a birdie and added a par win on No. 3 to 2-up. Holtz got back in the match with par wins on Nos. 5 and 7 to tie it. Kress won the 8th hole with a par and matched Holtz's par on No. 9 to keep his one-hole lead.

It was all Holtz after that. He won five holes on the back nine — a par on 1
