LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) are investigating after shots were fired near a school bus stop in the Russell neighborhood Thursday morning.
An LMPD spokesperson said several people reported gunshots fired between the 900 and 1100 block of West Chestnut Street just after 8 a.m.
When officers arrived, police said they did not find any victims.
A preliminary investigation found a man fired a gun in the 1000 block of West Chestnut before leaving the area on foot.
LMPD released photos of the suspect asking for the public's help in identifying him.
Authorities said the images were taken on 10th Street, north of Reed Alley, facing West Chestnut next to the YMCA.
