People living in Nuneaton and Bedworth are being asked to have their say on "significant changes" to council services in their area.

Under government proposals for local government reorganisation, all six councils in Warwickshire, including Nuneaton and Bedworth, will be abolished in just under three years' time.

Currently a 'divorce' from Warwickshire is on the cards, as plans for a single council covering all of Warwickshire are not favoured by the district and borough councils.

Instead, a new 'North' council comprised of Nuneaton and Bedworth , North Warwickshire , and Rugby Borough councils was proposed as the 'most effective' option in an independent report.

There would then be a South council, including Stratford and Warwick .
