NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) — No one was injured from an emergency plane landing near Norfolk on Thursday.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office said at around 4 p.m. on August 7, Norfolk Dispatch received a report of a "mayday" call from an aircraft after shortly leaving the Norfolk Regional Airport.

Authorities said the plane made an emergency landing in a bean field east of Norfolk. The sheriff's office, Norfolk Police, and Norfolk Fire and Rescue found the aircraft about 3/4 of a mile south of the intersection of East Norfolk Avenue and Agnes Drive.

Officials said the pilot, Isaac Weix of Menomonie, Wisconsin, was located and had no injuries. He was the only person in the plane.
