Recent flooding in central Texas, which tragically resulted in loss of life, has also revealed a remarkable discovery: ancient dinosaur tracks.

A volunteer assisting residents near Austin, Texas, stumbled upon large tracks, which experts confirm are authentic.

The dino tracks are believed to have been made by Acrocanthosaurus. While distinct, some may believe tracks may resemble those of a T. rex.

These tracks date back approximately 110 to 115 million years, an expert at the University of Texas told CNN.

The recent floods cleared away trees, dirt, and gravel that had obscured the tracks, allowing this fascinating glimpse into the past to emerge.
