WHEELING — It’s a rare occasion to have some of the area’s best teachers and students gathered together while summer break is still happening, but the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce made sure to host them and recognize them for a job well done.

The chamber held its annual Steak Fry & Partners in Education Awards ceremony at the Hess Shelter at Oglebay Thursday night, celebrating the waning days of summer and tipping a hat to the 2025 Teachers of the Year and student scholarship recipients.

Made possible by business partners that sponsor the awards, Thursday night’s sold-out event served as a way for the community to celebrate the achievements of some of the area’s outstanding teachers and students.
