East Lansing, Mich. (WLNS) – The Michigan State women’s soccer team is set to return to action on Saturday, August 9th, when they host No. 9 Texas Christian University (TCU) in a preseason exhibition match.

MSU comes in at No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason national poll under head coach Jeff Hosler. This is the highest preseason ranking in program history.

Since the East Lansing native arrived four years ago to take over, Hosler has elevated MSU into the national spotlight. The Spartans are coming off a 14-3-5 overall record in the 2024 season, marking their second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16. The team returns seven starters and welcomes nine new freshmen and two junior transfers.
