(WSPA) – High school football is back in the Carolinas! With the 2025 season just around the corner, the Eastside Eagles are previewed ahead of the August 22 kickoff.

Eastside Eagles:

Head Coach: Andre Woolcock, seventh season

2024 record: 4-6, 1-5 • 10-10 past two seasons

Key Returners:

Peyton Schrader (QB), Lucas Tankersly (RB/LB), MJ Posey (DB/LB), Cayden Workman (WR/S), Pearson Cranning (DL)

Key Losses:

Jaquavious Dodd (DE)

Preview:

After getting four wins in their first 5A season, Andre Woolcock and the Eagles return offensive weapons in quarterback Peyton Schrader and wide receiver Cayden Workman. They will emphasize the running game behind Lucas Tankersly and three returners on the offensive line.

On defense, the Eagles will have to overcome the loss of USC bound Quay Do
