CINCINNATI —
A man is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Thursday afternoon in downtown Cincinnati.
According to the Cincinnati Police Department, the crash happened around 1:11 p.m. in the area of West 9th Street and Plum Street. Advertisement
Police say a 2022 Kawasaki ZX14R motorcycle was traveling west on West 9th Street and ran a red light. The motorcycle then struck a 2017 Honda Civic traveling south on Plum Street, pushing the Civic into two unoccupied parked cars.
The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man, was taken to UC Medical Center where he died from his injuries. The coroner's office identified him as Justin Piper.
Police say he was wearing a helmet.
