Washington State Patrol (WSP) District 4 has confirmed that the incident was a fatality collision.

The eastbound lanes of State Route 2 have been closed down just east of Fairview Heights, according to WSP. Drivers are urged to avoid the area while emergency responders work to clear the scene.

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – Washington State Patrol District 4 reported a possible fatality collision on State Route 2 near the Spokane Tribe Casino.

Spokane County police have responded to the scene, where a car reportedly struck a pedestrian at milepost 277, just west of Airway Heights.
