No one seems to enjoy making fun of golf more than golfers.

That’s the best way to explain the myriad of high-profile cameos, some fleeting and some with more substance, in “Happy Gilmore 2,” the sequel to the wildly popular Adam Sandler golf movie from 1996, a movie that took on cult-like status through the years.

Twenty-nine years later, the sequel has hit Netflix with just as much popularity. In just its first three days on Netflix, “Happy Gilmore 2” saw 46.7 million views. You can love or hate Adam Sandler and his humor, but “Happy Gilmore 2” is the biggest debut for any Sandler film under the comedian/actor’s contract to produce movies for Netflix.
