The Elizabeth Line serving Heathrow Airport has been suspended this morning, causing massive delays to would-be travellers and commuters racing into London.

The closure, which comes not long after a flaming car on the M25 caused local travel chaos outside the airport, has suspended Tube activity between Heathrow Terminals T2 and T3 and Terminal 4.

Authorities have acted fast to suspend the activity due to a fire alarm sounding at a station on the line, but said the cause was faulty fire equipment. It comes after a 'traumatised' family are stranded at Palma Airport after being told they can't board a Jet2 flight .
