There is a major disruption to trains throughout Cambridgeshire this morning (Friday, August 8). Trains running between Peterborough , Cambridge and London are being cancelled and passengers are being told to expect delays of up to an hour.
This is due to a person who has been hit by a train between Hitchin and Stevenage . Trains are expected to be cancelled, revised or delayed up to an hour and major disruption is expected until at least midday.
On the National Rail website it says: “A person has been hit by a train between Hitchin and Stevenage. Whilst the emergency services carry out their work all lines are closed.
“Trains running between Peterborough/Cambridge and London will be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 60 minutes. Major disruption is expected until 12pm.”
