They say Christmas comes but once a year. While that may be true for the rest of the world, it's not the case here in the Coachella Valley.

When the local LGBTQ+ community is tasked with raising much needed funds for The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert (known as The Center) and its food bank, among other worthwhile programs that build community, two wonderful things can happen: One is Christmas in July, and the second is Jeff McDonald and his team at The Roost Lounge in Cathedral City.

When combined, you have a fabulously over-the-top, sold-out extravaganza.

Christmas in July is an annual tradition at The Roost with a different local organization being the benefactors of our community's generosity. And on July 27, the event returned to the Cathedral City
