In need of some puppy love? Or some kitten kisses? Adoption is the answer. And at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, animals are waiting to become your new best friend. And it's never been easier.

To meet dogs, cats, birds, gerbils and rabbits waiting to be taken to a loving home, come to the Palm Springs Animal Shelter’s largest event of the year: Clear the Shelters. This adoption event will take place Aug. 16-17.

All adoptions made at the event will be free of charge, thanks to generous donors across the Coachella Valley. In years past, adoptions have been sponsored by one company, but this year, people throughout the desert contributed to sponsor the adoptions of individual animals.
